Barcelona teenager Lamine Yamal may still only be 17 but his valuation has increased rapidly after a stellar 12 months for club and country.
Yamal has won Euro 2024 with Spain and established himself as one of the finest players in the world with Barcelona.
As such his valuation has now risen to an eye-popping €180m according to Transfermarkt’s latest figures. In contrast, Mbappe is worth a mere €160 million.
Yamal is not the only Barcelona player to have experienced a large jump in valuation. Pau Cubarsi is now valued at €70m, meaning he is among the 10 most valuable center-backs in the world at the tender age of 17.
Elsewhere, Pedri is now valued at €100m and Raphinha at €80m after a brilliant first half of the season for Barcelona where he’s played a starring role.
Yet just as there are ups there are also some downs. Barcelona players who have struggled with injuries recently have seen their market values drop.
Gavi’s value has dropped by €10m after a year out with an ACL injury, while Andreas Christensen has also suffered similarly after being sidelined with an Achilles problem.
Yet the two biggest losers in this regard are Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araujo. Both players have seen their market value drop by €15m but are both fit again and will be hoping to impress in 2025.
